The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations conducts professional Certificate and Diploma examinations every year. The objective of the examiations is to produce a crop of professional Public Relations practitioners. Each NIPR qualification is a statment of competence, clearly relevant to work and intended to facilitate entry or progression in employment or higher education. The examinations are practical in oritentation.
All students must be registered with the institute before being allowed to take the examinations. Registration is for a period fo three years and students are expected to complete their examinations within this period. Students who are unable to do so should re-apply for an extension of their student membership of the institute.
Types of Examination
Two types of examiations are conducted by the institute namely:
1. The Professional Certificate Examinations and 2. The Professional Diploma Examinations
There are 10 papers in the certificate stage, with 5 papers in part one and two respectively.
